Southern Pacific 771

Just down the track from the Grapevine Vintage Railroad Depot, is the Southern Pacific 771 static display. This steam locomotive is open for those who want to climb aboard for a look from the drivers seat  There are wooden steps that lead up to the cab of this wonderful old unit. Once up inside, a person can just imagine how hot and loud it must have been to drive one of these down the tracks.
